Autumn is a beautiful time of year to come to coastal South Carolina either for the beach or the golfing. The temperatures are finally cooling off a bit from the scorching heat of summer and the crowds have left the area. If you haven’t managed to get your vacation in yet this year, consider coming now because at this time you really can enjoy yourself at a more leisurely pace plus there’s far less traffic to contend with. I found a wide range of Myrtle Beach condos through Condo World when I was looking online. I’m planning my visit to arrive when there are plenty of local events taking place. All will be close to the Myrtle Beach condos I’ll be staying in. Come out and experience the 2012 St John’s Greek Festival is held on Sept. 27, 2012, at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church of Myrtle Beach. Get a feel of the Greek culture at the festivall. Taste the different Greek foods such as Gyros, Roasted Lamb Greek Salad, Spanikopita and Mousaka along with different Greek pastries and plenty of bread. There will be Greek wine and beer available as well. An assortment of activities and vendors will be in attendance along with live Greek music and dancers that will keep the excitement going. Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art is also held on Sep. 27, 2012. The festival showcases visual and performing arts. I’ll be visiting the Gallery Crawl which will feature art from Murrells Inlet to Georgetown while I also have a taste of wine, fine hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment at the Pawley’s Island Wine Gala. Other featured events and special artists I hope to see include the Wearable Art Luncheon, Young@Heart performance, The Baruchs of Hobcaw, World’s Smallest Airport, Jack Kerouac: King of the Beats, Private Wine Tasting, Steve Tyrell, Mac Arnold and Plate Full o’Blues, A classical Evening featuring Taylor Johnson, Fireworks Ensemble American Tapestry, Deborah Silver, Legends of Motown starring Horizon, Bright Star Theaters Production of “Once Upon A Time” and Chalk Under the Oaks.
